Student Bus Rider Badging System

We are introducing a new student badging system designed to enhance the safety and efficiency of our school transportation services. Beginning this school year, all students are required to badge on and off the school bus at both their designated bus stop and at school.

This system helps ensure accurate student tracking and offers families increased peace of mind. Parents and guardians are encouraged to download the Stopfinder app, which allows real-time bus tracking and customized notifications when the bus is approaching. You may choose to receive alerts when the bus is, for example, 5 or 10 minutes away, based on your preference. To receive app setup instructions, please email trips@hsd2.org, and we will respond with the necessary details.

Important information:

  • Badges are mandatory. A lost badge should be reported to the Transportation Office at 719-579-4900 or email trips@hsd2.org immediately so that a replacement can be issued.
  • Students must only board and exit the bus at their assigned bus stop. Changes must be pre-approved through the Transportation Office.
  • Students who do not live within an established bus zone are not eligible to ride the bus. If you have questions about eligibility, please contact the Transportation Office.
  • Friends or other students are not permitted to ride the bus without prior approval from the Transportation Office. Unauthorized riders will be turned away and will not be allowed to board the bus.
  • For help to activate your subscription within the app, please contact us at trips@hsd2.org or call 719-579-4900.

Bus Rider Rules

Cooperation in informing students of the importance of obeying school bus rules and regulations is appreciated. All students and parents of students in Harrison School District should be aware of these rules and regulations. While at bus stops or on school buses all students are expected to behave in the same manner as they would in the classroom and all school rules and regulations regarding student behavior will apply.

Transportation is provided free of charge as a convenience for all eligible students. D2 is not required by law to provide transportation services. Only students who are assigned to a bus may ride that bus.
