Harrison Panther Marching Band Silver Medal win at the Colorado Band Association State Championship
Congratulations to the Panther Marching Band, under the direction of Mr. Keith Bisaillon, for their Silver Medal win at the Colorado Band Association State Championship Monday, October 29th. Our marching band students from both Harrison and Sierra High Schools began work on this show over the summer spending upwards of 20 hours a week to hone their craft outside of school hours. These students made tremendous musical and personal growth over the course of the season. Their honors this year include Colorado Band Association Southern Region Champions, Class Champions at the State Preview Show and State Silver Medalists for the first time in the history of HSD2.
This win is due to a unique year of partnership with Sierra High School, Fox Meadow Middle School, and the Mountain Vista Home School Academy to involve students throughout the District. Thanks to Mr. Levi Lyman, Mr. Andrew Williams, Mrs. Lenore Johnson, and Mr. Jack Seltenright for all of their support, encouragement, and phenomenal work with our students over the course of the season. Without their dedication to students achieving at the highest level, our successes this year would not have been possible. We also thank Mr. Bisaillon for his ten years of extreme dedication to his students and their pursuit of musical excellence and while serving as ambassadors for their schools and the District.
