Divine Nine celebrates first day with students at Panorama Middle School

A celebration broke out on the front walkway of Panorama Middle School on Aug. 9, the first day of school.

For the second consecutive year, local members of the Divine Nine visited the school to greet students and cheer them on as they made their way into the building.

The Divine Nine is the collective name for the nine historically black Greek letter organizations that make up the National Pan-Hellenic Council.

More than three dozen members formed a tunnel leading into the school, giving out high-fives and words of encouragement as students walked in.
