D2 students prep for college in partnership with UCCS

More than 50 District Two students were recognized in a ceremony at UCCS on June 28 for their participation in the university's Pre-Collegiate Development Program.

The program is geared toward college-bound middle school and high school students and helping them prepare for college through concurrent enrollment, professional development, and community engagement opportunities.

Currently, all of District Two's secondary schools along with Mountain Vista Community School take part in the program.

The June 28 event was a closing ceremony for the program's Summer Academic Institute, as student achievements were celebrated while seniors received their acceptance letters to UCCS.
