Three new Board of Education members sworn in

The three newly-elected members of the Harrison School District Two Board of Education were sworn in Dec. 1.

Jeannie Orozco, Linda Pugh, and Steven Seibert were sworn in by Board President Eileen Gonzalez and will participate in their first public board meeting Dec. 7.

Orozco is a parent of one current D2 student and one D2 graduate.

She has worked with the board for the past three years on health equity issues and bringing community services to the area.

Pugh is a 30-year resident of the district who previously served on the Board of Education from 2005 to 2013, and was term-limited after that point.

Pugh’s children graduated from D2 schools and her grandchildren currently attend schools in the district.

 

Seibert was re-elected to the board for a second term; he currently serves as board treasurer.

He is a graduate of Harrison High School, a 30-year resident of the district, and a parent of a D2 graduate.
