August 2026
The August 2026 edition of D2 Insider highlights an exciting start to the new school year across Harrison School District 2!
This month, we celebrate former D2 students who have returned to serve their community as educators and leaders, highlight local media coverage showcasing the great things happening at Panorama Middle School and Carmel Community School, and spotlight D2’s innovative propane bus fleet.
We also showcase early learning successes across D2, the opening of Pedro’s Pantry at Stratton Meadows Elementary, and a special in-person learning experience for Aspire Online Academy students. On the athletic front, we highlight a visit from former WNBA champion Shae Kelley, D2’s Harrison-Sierra rivalry matchups, and the launch of girls flag football at Sierra High School.
Plus, we feature our latest D2 Partner Spotlight with Eye Love Care and take you inside a very special surprise at the August Board of Education meeting honoring Superintendent Dr. Wendy Birhanzel.
