District Announcements
Choose Us
-
District 2 has many options to fit your child's learning style. You will be joining an education family that believes your child can and will succeed. We honor an open enrollment policy where students can enroll in one of our thirteen elementary schools, one K-8 school, three middle schools, two high schools, one career readiness academy, a home school program, four charter schools, and International Baccalaureate programs.
We also offer free full-day kindergarten, free preschool education to those who qualify, and a school-based health clinic. Our students thrive with gifted and talented programs at each campus, special education programs at each campus and award-winning culturally- and linguistically diverse education. Advanced Placement (AP) and Concurrent Enrollment programs are offered to our high school students at no cost, while our Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program is available beginning in middle school.
Another reason to choose us is this unprecedented opportunity for students attending one of our District 2 high schools. In partnership with Pikes Peak Community College, the Dakota Foundation, and the Legacy Institute, the Dakota Promise Scholarship - set to start in fall 2020 - will provide free college tuition and academic support coaches to every qualifying high school graduate in our school district. To be eligible for the program, students must complete high school with 2.5 or better GPA for their combined junior and senior years, enroll at PPCC within 12 months of graduation, enroll and complete a minimum of 24 credit hours per academic year and apply for financial aid.
