     District Program

    There are 51 different languages represented in the Harrison School District Two CLDE Program. Spanish is the dominant language of all English Language Learners (ELL's) at 93%.

    The top five home languages are Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Arabic, and Swahili.

    We provide language services to over 1000 active NEP/LEP students and oversee over 490 ELL Monitor students.

    ELL students make up about 27% of the total district enrollment.

  • The Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (CLDE) office wishes to congratulate Lynda Espinoza Idle from Harrison School District 2 who was chosen as the winner of the 2020 Distinguished Administrator in Support of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learners Award. The award is presented annually to one distinguished administrator who has demonstrated excellence in creating successful outcomes by supporting the academic, linguistic, and social-emotional needs of culturally and linguistically diverse learners and their families. The CLDE office has honored administrators and educators who have demonstrated excellence in their work with culturally and linguistically diverse learners since 2007.
