CLDE Program Overview

  • Our CLDE Vision:
    To provide culturally and linguistically diverse learners with equitable access to cohesive learning opportunities that accelerate their social and academic English.  

    D2 will provide meaningful access to grade-level content and increase Multilingual Learners' (MLs) overall achievement through the implementation of research-based English Language Development teaching methods and collaboration by our highly qualified CLDE educators.  

    Our CLDE Mission:
    The mission of the D2 CLDE program is to promote a safe, encouraging, and equitable learning environment for all MLs.  Implementation of research-based English Language Development teaching methods and collaboration by our highly qualified CLDE educators and paraprofessionals contributes to measurable growth and proficiency in Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing as well as all content areas.

Our Program

  • District Program

    There are 51 different languages represented in the Harrison School District Two CLDE Program. Spanish is the dominant language of all Multilingual Learners (MLs) at 93%.

    The top six home languages are Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Dari (Farsi, Eastern), Arabic, and Swahili.

    We provide language services to over 1000 active NEP/LEP students and oversee over 490 ELL Monitor students.

    ML students make up about 27% of the total district enrollment.
