Before & After School Care

  • Harrison School District 2 is offering FREE Before & After School Care at Monterey Elementary for Kindergarten through 5th grade students for the 2021-2022 school year, in partnership and with staff provided by the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region. You may select before school care only, after school care only, or before & after school care.

    The Before & After School Child Care program expands learning beyond the classroom. Children are celebrated for their uniqueness and provided with multiple opportunities for growth and development through a variety of activities. Homework assistance and physical activity are provided daily.

    Hours: from 7:00 am to beginning of school, and from dismissal until 6:00 pm on regularly scheduled school days, including Monday late starts! Students will receive breakfast in the morning and a healthy snack in the afternoon.

    Service for multiple schools in Harrison School District 2. An affordable and quality program that offers before and after school care with transportation to and from school. Homework help and tutoring and age-appropriate games and activities. Care during scheduled school closures and breaks. Accepts CCAP. 

    Deerfield Hills Community Center 

    The Deerfield Hills Community Center is conveniently located at 4290 Deerfield Hills Road, adjacent to the park directly behind the school. Parents are invited to consider the excellent services, including an after-school program, provided through the Deerfield Hills Community Center.

    Boys and Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region

    The Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region has served the community since 1888 – 128 years. Our organization is also the oldest Club west of the Mississippi River and the eighth oldest Club of more than 4,300 worldwide. During our 128-year history, our organization has devoted itself to providing the youth of the Pikes Peak Region with a safe place to learn and grow. We operate 2 after school youth development programs and 4 before & after school childcare programs in the Pikes Peak Region, serving approximately 1,300 youth with nationally acclaimed programming.
