HSD2 will provide Sand Creek International School students with FREE school supplies for the 2021-2022 school year. Students will only need to bring a backpack.
The District will use Title I funds to purchase the school supplies for K-8 students to be provided in the classroom. We believe this will be a benefit to students, parents, and teachers by ensuring students have what they need.
Uniform Update for 21-22 School Year
We wanted to proactively communicate some new information regarding our uniform policy, knowing that many families like to shop over the summer for uniforms:
- To make it easier to shop, starting next school year, we will allow black bottoms for uniforms (as well as navy and khaki). Please note, this does not mean that black leggings are acceptable – they must be pants, shorts, skirts, or jumpers. We wanted to expand to this option, as it is often easier to find black pants and shorts.
- In order to align our uniforms with our school colors (as is the policy at other district schools), we will be phasing out red uniform tops. Red tops (shirts and plain sweatshirts) will still be allowed next school year (21-22). However, starting in the school year 2022-2023, red will no longer be a uniform color (all shades of blue, white, gray, or black will all be acceptable colors for uniform tops next year and beyond), so it may be prudent to start purchasing colors that align with those listed school colors as much as possible.
