I feel privileged to serve the Otero community as Principal. As I finish my fifteenth year in education, I continue to strive to make a difference in the lives of all students. Prior to instructional leadership in Harrison School District, I spent 8 years as a special education teacher in Widefield School District. As a Michigan native, I received my Bachelor of Arts at Grand Valley State University. After moving to Colorado, I pursued my love of learning and received my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction followed by a Principal Licensure program at the University of Phoenix-Colorado Springs.
When I am not busy enjoying time with the students and faculty at Otero, I enjoy spending time with my family. I have two beautiful children Jackson and Maddie. As a family, we enjoy watching Detroit Tigers baseball, traveling to Michigan, and playing in the beautiful Colorado outdoors.
I look forward to another fantastic year at Otero where students live our motto: Dream it! Believe it! Achieve it!
Sincerely,
Amy Bonine
