AOA Online Orientation

  • Welcome to AOA (Student Device Information)
    Aspire Online Academy desires to be recognized as a “World Class” school, expecting each student to achieve at his/her optimum level in all areas and providing all members of our AOA family with an environment that permits them to do their personal best. All students in grades K-12 will receive a device in order to support student access to information, promote critical thinking, enhance communication and collaboration, and innovatively create while learning to safely, ethically, and successfully utilize technology. Students will utilize their devices to extend their learning, access instructional programs, files, and schoolwork.

    Students in grades K-12 will be issued a device for use at school and home. 

    • Grades K-12: Dell Latitude 3310 Windows PC Laptop, with built-in webcam and protective case

     

    In order to receive a district-issued device and gain access to the district network:

    PARENTS/GUARDIANS

    • Parents will review the annual Parent Orientation video available on this website.
    • Parents will review and electronically sign the Technology Acceptable Use agreement available within the Device Orientation Links. A copy of the policy is available on this website.
    • Parents will review and electronically sign the acknowledgment that they have reviewed and have access to a digital copy of the Student Device Handbook - available on this website.

    STUDENTS

    • Students will complete an annual student orientation at their assigned device deployment prior to receiving a district-issued device. As a part of the Student Orientation, students will watch a series of instructional videos and digitally sign to indicate they agree to follow the student device rules and procedures. All videos are available on this website for reference/review.

    • Staff will review the Student Device Handbook with students at Student Orientation which outlines expectations for student use while providing both students and parents/guardians with procedures for appropriate use, care of, and security during mandatory orientation and Device Distribution on August 9, 2022.
