Miss Cody Smith

This is my seventh year teaching in Harrison School District Two, and I count myself lucky to be able to work with the scholars in my classroom everyday.  In the classroom, I strive to “see” each and every one of my students every day in order to help them develop as well-rounded individuals.  I believe that an education not only includes academic guidance but also emotional and motivational guidance.  I love basketball, and March Madness is one of my favorite times of the year.  Coaching the 4th-5th grade girl's Stinger basketball team is something that I really enjoy!  I also enjoy hiking and biking when I am not at school.  Traveling is a passion of mine and I was fortunate enough to teach for two years at the American School of Tampico in Tampico, Mexico at the beginning of my career.  The expectations in my classroom are simple:  1.) If you work hard, then you will succeed and 2.) Always do your best!  Go Stingers!
