“Increase Learning for ALL!” (Updated 8/23/21)
Since opening its doors in 1983, Wildflower Elementary School has been committed to providing the highest quality instruction through best practices. Over the past few years, Wildflower Elementary has won numerous awards for our excellence in working with students. Wildflower was a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Awards Recipient both in 2011 and 2017. We also were the only Title I school in Colorado to receive the National Title I Distinguished Award for closing the achievement gap in 2016.
Wildflower Elementary is home to 50 talented staff members that serve approximately 420 diverse Wildcat students. Our dedicated teachers and staff support students by creating a safe environment of rigor, eagerness to excel, and community investment while providing a learning experience to meet the potential of all students.
The learning experiences at Wildflower include opportunities for academic and social growth. Throughout the day, students participate in a variety of opportunities that promote student understanding of the content by meeting students where they are academically and using a variety of strategies to challenge and grow student understanding.
After school, our Wildcats continue to learn and grow through after-school activities and clubs. Our after school clubs include Honor Choir, Cheerleading, 100-Mile club, Rocket/science club, Art club, Intramurals, Coding Club, and many more. We offer reading, writing, and math tutoring for our students who need extra support.
Community partnerships play a vital role in supporting the students at Wildflower Elementary. Several community partnerships are in place that have helped provide extended learning opportunities for scholars. L3 Harris Corporation and STARBASE on Peterson Air Force Base provide our 4th and 5th-grade students with the opportunity to apply science knowledge to hands-on experiments and activities. Through the United States Postal Service, our Wildcat families have donated over 800 pounds of food to Care and Share.
Wildflower is a school of excellence. Through strong community partnerships and dedicated staff members, Wildflower has developed a community where all students learn and grow.
