D2 SHINING MOMENTS IN THE 2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR

  • There are many new and exciting accomplishments in the District, and this page is a great place to visit for updates on our awards and accomplishments by school year. Let's start with a few big celebrations that don't neatly fall into one school year!

    1. HSD2 is proud to announce that the community passed a $182 million bond in November 2019 and we will see renovations and construction across our district until 2024
    2. Our district elected to provide K-8 students with FREE school supplies in the 2019-2020 school year while high school students receive a free laptop and internet for their device
    3. All of our students are offered breakfast and lunch at no cost, regardless of household income
    4. Our 2019 graduating class had 27 students who graduated with their associate's degree and their high school diploma at no cost to the family
    5. HSD2 graduates can attend and obtain a degree from Pikes Peak Community College at no cost through the Dakota Promise Program

    • 2020 Distinguished Administrator in Support of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learners Award, Lynda Idle, recognized by the CDE Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education office 
    • Meritorious Budget Award, recognized by Association of School Business Officials International
