The Sites Shop preserves, maintains, and improves the grounds and all amenities on the exterior of each district building. This includes, but is not limited to, playground equipment, fencing, turf fields, trees, and parking lot maintenance. Routine services consist of mowing lawns, plowing snow and clearing sidewalks, and spreading anti-skid on icy surfaces. Some technical aspects of the job include fabrication and welding, irrigation troubleshooting and repairs, and monthly playground inspections. While Harrison School District Two is spread across 301.35 acres of land, the Sites Shop maintains approximately 93.4 irrigated acres.
The Sites Shop consists of four full-time employees who are cross-trained to perform all duties independently, and two seasonal summer workers who assist with mowing services.
