  • UPDATE 7-10-2020

    In an effort to keep you updated about D2’s Return to School 2020 Plan, please see the following:

    • Our Return to Learning Steering Committee has been working hard to bring our plan to staff, parents, students, and community
    • The plan will be fluid and could change based on changing information
    • Parents and community partners will receive this plan on Monday, July 20th via email, the District website, the District app and reminders on social media
    • We can tell you now that every student will receive a laptop and parents will be able to choose In-Person Learning or eLearning
    • Schools will host student check-in days the last week of July and those dates/times will be posted to school websites, Facebook pages and the school marquis by July 17, 2020
    • The first official day of school has been delayed to Monday, August 10th while family/student orientations will occur on August 6th and 7th
    • The Family Economic Data Survey is available online for D2 families. We encourage you to participate. If your children attend one or more of the schools below, please be aware that meals are provided at no cost without completing this application. However, completing this form provides additional benefits to you and the district such as grants, program funding, athletic waivers, and textbooks assistance, among others.

  • Fun Facts about Fox Meadow Middle School

    1. We provide high-quality education in a safe and caring environment.
    2. Earn high school credits as an 8th grader in Science, Social Studies, English, Math, and World Language.
    3. We received the Colorado Center for Excellence Award from CDE in 2017
    4. AVID, foreign language, choir and band classes.
    5. Award-Winning Band and Choir Program: There are over 300 students enrolled in our band and choir program—and that number is growing.
    6. College Visits: at least 100 of our students go on College tours at UCCS, CU Boulder, CSU Pueblo, PPCC, and CC.
    7. We have over 50 Out of District Enrollments!
    8. We have 8 Fox Meadow staff members who are Distinguished Teachers.
    9. We have 1:1 laptops this year and love using technology to help our students learn.
    10. We offer several different after-school activities, including Power Hour (tutoring), Girl Scouts, Spanish Club, Cheerleading, WEB (Where Everyone Belongs), NJHS (National Junior Honor Society), and Minecraft.
    11. Sports: Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, Cheerleading, Wrestling, Track, Soccer, and Softball.
    12. WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) Orientation: Our premier 6th-grade orientation program that is implemented by highly trained staff members before school begins. Students learn how to be successful in middle school academics while they make friends and learn from 7th & 8th-grade mentors.
    13. We are a certified AVID school
    14. Safe School: Student climate surveys consistently show that the vast majority of students feel safe and ready to learn at our school. School and district survey data support this view.
