AVID stands for "Achievement Via Individual Determination."  AVID fosters a safe and open culture, high expectations for teachers and students, and collaboration in all classrooms. AVID students in middle and high school are enrolled in an AVID elective class where they learn college readiness skills, organizational skills, and receive tutoring on a weekly basis. AVID students are encouraged to challenge themselves academically as well as be role models within the school and community.
