In-person and eLearning opportunities are available at Pikes Peak for the 2020-2021 school year! Since August 17th we have offered both in-person learning and an eLearning program for our students. In-person learning is 5 days a week and with smaller class sizes this year, so students are receiving more of the attention they deserve! For families who prefer eLearning, our online students receive live math, English Language Arts (ELA) and intervention time (WIN- What I Need in Reading) 4 days a week, with our amazing Pikes Peak teachers and staff. Because of this model, students can move between the in-person program and eLearning program as needed by families. Join us for one of these unique programs this year!

Our teachers provide students with quality and rigorous instruction focused on the Colorado State Standards. That ensures that what we are teaching is aligned with what our students need to know in preparation for a career and lifelong learning. This is a partnership and we hope that you will join the Pumas as we move forward on this path!

The academic curriculum, along with the arts and science curriculums as well as social-emotional learning and support, set the stage for a well-rounded education and productive citizens.

We welcome open communication with parents and extended family members of the Pikes Peak Community at our school. The staff, students, and parents of Pikes Peak Elementary collaborate to provide a safe, equitable, comfortable, and well-maintained learning environment to promote confident, successful learners. We greatly value the school community as it encourages, inspires, and motivates each student. Our goal is to effectively communicate between home and school, so please let us know how we can help. Go Pumas!

Pikes Peak is a proud recipient of the Early Literacy Grant from the Colorado Department of Education. This grant provides our school with funds to purchase research-based materials for literacy instruction and provides funds for on-going teacher training in the science of teaching reading. Through the use of these funds, the students at Pikes Peak Elementary receive highly effective literacy instruction. Individual students’ needs in literacy are identified early in the school year, and small group instruction to address those needs that happen throughout the week. By meeting each student where they are at in their reading development, teachers at Pikes Peak are able to ensure that all students are moving toward their individual literacy goals and becoming better readers.
