Harrison School District Two

As part of the five-year plan: Destination 2016, Harrison School District is focused on ending social promotion for students who are not proficient readers in third, fifth and eighth grades. The Colorado Springs Gazette wrote an article highlighting the District's efforts and how the District is ahead of the State's initiative to also end social promotion.

"It's a hard choice and some parents don't like it. But instead of being upset at the district, they need to work with us to get their children caught up," said D-2 School Board President Deborah Hendrix.
