ASVAB- Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery - ASVAB
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is offered several times a year to any interested 10th, 11th, or 12th grade student. It is a multi-aptitude tests that will help students identify different interests and abilities, and will then use that information to identify different potential careers. This is a great, free career assessment opportunity. The military services administer the assessment, but students do not have to be interested in the military to be eligible to take the test. Interested students should contact their counselor in the counseling Office. (more information - PDF file)

PSAT Test- Pre SAT
The Preliminary SAT®/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test is a co-sponsored program by the College Board and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC).

PSAT/NMSQT stands for Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. It's a standardized test that provides firsthand practice for the SAT Reasoning TestTM. It also gives you a chance to enter National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) scholarship programs.

The PSAT/NMSQT measures:

PLAN Test- Pre ACT
The PLAN® program helps 10th graders build a solid foundation for future academic and career success and provides information needed to address school districts' high-priority issues. It is a comprehensive guidance resource that helps students measure their current academic development, explore career/training options, and make plans for the remaining years of high school and post-graduation years. (Students should contact their counselor for the PSAT test date and registration information.)

ACT (www.actstudent.org) and SAT (www.collegeboard.com) are encouraging students to register on line. High Schools do have a limited amount of registration forms available in the Counseling office if you prefer to mail the registration form. You may register for each test after the deadline for an additional late registration testing fee.
